Why didn’t I think of that?

I found this link I had to share over at Danielle Daily.   If you have kids or have ever taken more than one child grocery shopping, you’ll understand wish you’d thought of it too!  Here it is:  Pokemon Cards.   I wish I had something like that to sell on Ebay, I could buy that Rowan yarn I want for the Phyllo sweater.   Oh, well.

There is this awesome You Tube from crankygrrrrl.   This is for the romantic in everyone.   It is great!  Having seen the video, I’d love to know more about these two.

Do you have any “Why didn’t I think of THAT?” that you’d like to share?

More knitting tomorrow!  I’m almost done with the second sleeve and there is knitting tonight!!  Yeah.

Random things…

Tag, you’re it!   I’m it twice actually, from Udandi and man there was another blog too…. I should have written it down, but I knew I would remember.   I am also tagging myself from ZigZag Stitch and from the Rainey Sisters.   Now how does that trackback thing work….

Here goes.

1.  I despise earwigs.  Don’t know why or when I came to loath these creatures, but man they are gross.    I can tolerate most other insects, but even squashing these suckers grosses me out to no end.  This picture does no justice to the yuck factor of these insects.

Yuck!

2.  I love coffee.   Dunkin’ Donuts is my favorite.   I stalk the store for a sale.   They were a dime a dozen in Massachusetts, but here in the Piedmont, there are TWO.  Luckily, there is one right down the road.   Yippee!   Starbucks is great, but a little price prohibitive and most of the time, I just want a light with sugar French Vanilla.   Ordering at Starbucks can give me a little panic attack.

Yummmmmm

3.  I like the Boston Red Sox just to annoy my husband (Yankee FAN!).   When I lived at home, I liked the Yankees to annoy my father.    It makes for fun baseball watching to have a little rivalry.

4.  The bathroom tub had a double ring.   Gross, I know.   There have been some very dirty children in the house lately–sand, mud, more sand, and more mud.    There are two rings to account for the two sets of baths for Sunshine daughter and Sunshine sons.  Despite the fact that cleaning bathrooms is the thing I usually reserve for visits from my friend Martha or my mother.   Yes, the double rings are gone.

5.  Crap is a “bad” word in our house.  That’s a quarter, thank you.  Of course there are other bad words, but unless there is plumbing or carpentry involved, they aren’t usually heard around here.  Say junky instead.

6.  I don’t drive and will never own a white car.   I have had two car accidents.  Both invovled me and a white car.  Both cars, not mine.   Both cars, totalled.    Sorry Mom.

7.  Every Wednesday at 10pm, for 16 weeks, I have watched Lost.   Every Wednesday at 11pm, for 16 weeks, I say to Sunshine Husband, “WHY DO I WATCH THIS SHOW?”    Ok, who are those women in the Looking Glass Hatch?   What the HECK is going on?   Of course I will watch next Wednesday and be even more annoyed since there isn’t going to be another episode until December!?!   Well, at least that knocks two blogs off my reading list for a while.

7.  There are currently 9 ball point pens, a highlighter, a Sharpie, and 3 pencils at the bottom of my purse.  I don’t know why considering I don’t have any paper in there.

Optional random fact:

8.   I hate folding doing laundry.

This is a tag-free zone.  Consider yourself tagged.   Be sure to let me know!

Do you watch Dirty Jobs?   It is a HOOT!   Mike Rowe gets down and dirty with all sorts of jobs.  Last night (originally aired Aug 2006, Season 2), the last job was Alpaca sheering and mating.   He also tested his hand at spinning.   Alpaca spit?!   Self-ovulating?!   Check it out.  Tuesdays on Discovery Channel.

In other news, have you heard that Pointy sticks is hosting a CONTEST?   I am new to the podcast world.   Next week on Pointy sticks, you can hear an interview with NANCY BUSH.   I am so excited.  Let Christine know why you love (or hate) to knit socks.  You can win some great prizes, including a MP3 player and sock yarn!   Go check it out!

How do mommy bloggers do it?    Housework, kids, and blogging almost everyday, even with the holidays looming?   I was introduced to crafty blogs today–like I need more blogs on the RSS feed!–via Rocks in My Dryer.   So now there is crafty goodness to make me feel like I am getting NOTHING done.   Check it out, there are even a few knitting goodies in there!

Stay tuned for a Sunshine Fam holiday blog.   Designed to be the next “hottest” thing in holiday cards.    Yeh, right.  Anyway, we’ll see.   Maybe before New Year’s.  :)

We enjoyed some yummy hot cocoa with Homemade Marshmallows today–can’t wait to read the blogging about it ZigZag Mommy.   There was much discussion about their lack of roundness during dinner tonight.  Sunshine Brothers seemed envious of their pal for getting to enjoy ”A LOT” of marshmallows.    I loved the shape, like igloo blocks for your cocoa!    Thank you for our treat.   It makes me wish I had saved a couple of the 7 6 layer bars to go with it.   I did add it do my coffee and yummmmm.   Thanks again!!

I know, I know…another blog.   I was introduced to the world of blogs by my friend Mandy.   Mandy taught me how to knit and so my introduction to blogville through the knitting world.  Since then I have branched out into “mommy” blogs.

Let me tell you, I L.O.V.E. blogs.   Mommy blogs, fiber blogs, book blogs, and cooking blogs.   I enjoy looking at the style of blogs and reading all the different types.

So what will this one be about.   Witty, informative, and insightful.   Ok, I’m kidding.   I’m sure it will be the more mundane things in life.   Parenting, knitting, reading, Usborne books, and life in general.

Since I have that out of the way, let me introduce the Sunshine Family.   There is me, Sunshine Mommy, Sunshine Daddy, and our three little Sunshines (Sunshine Bro #1, Sunshine Bro #2, and Sunshine Sis).
